About Franklin The Turtle
Verified on DexScreener as the base token of PumpSwap pool 8wXzwpLjk6QJMYYC1VHueNnxRVW2nFGvQjgEnV4Mv8sY, created 1 December 2025 at 11:34 UTC. pump.fun records the mint created seventeen minutes earlier at 11:17:31 UTC, less than a day after the 30 November 2025 post that started the meme, and its own listing links to the X post it was launched from. The nearest rival, Franklin the Based Turtle, opened its pool about four and a half hours later on the same day, which is the whole of the origin argument. An unrelated Franklin The Turtle Puppet token exists from 16 November 2024, a year before the meme, and is not a contender for it. Now run as a community takeover with an X community, Telegram, Instagram and an apelaunch page, months after the news cycle that made it ended.
Why this meme: The first tradeable contract of the Franklin meme wave, minted the morning after Pete Hegseth's post while the fake book covers were still being made, and the one the surviving community took over.
