Who they are
Anatoly Yakovenko is a former Qualcomm and Dropbox engineer who co-founded Solana and is co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs. He designed the Proof of History mechanism that lets Solana process transactions at high speed.
History
He published the Proof of History whitepaper in 2017 and launched Solana mainnet in March 2020. After the chain was badly hit by the 2022 FTX collapse, Yakovenko helped guide it back into a top-tier layer-1 and the primary hub for memecoin trading via platforms like pump.fun. He is highly active on X, often replying directly to builders and traders.
