Who they are
Mert Mumtaz is co-founder and CEO of Helius, the Solana developer-infrastructure company that runs a dominant RPC service, indexing layer and the Orb explorer. A former Coinbase engineer, he pivoted fully into crypto in 2021 and became Solana's leading public advocate.
History
Helius raised a $9.5M Series A led by Foundation Capital in 2024, with participation from Solana co-founders Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal. Mert is known for combative technical debates defending Solana against critics.
