Chudjak Chudjak, or 'Chud,' is a balding, stubbled, jutting-jaw member of the Wojak/Soyjak cartoon family, drawn with a clenched, agitated scowl and used online as shorthand for an angry, politically-obsessed poster.
Origin
Chudjak grew out of the same MS Paint Wojak lineage that began on Krautchan in 2010 and mutated on 4chan through the Soyjak (a portmanteau of 'soy' and 'Wojak' first drawn on /int/ in September 2017). Its own thread starts around August 2019, when a crude '/pol/ face' or 'le pollack' began circulating on 4chan; the recognizable Wojak-style variant, first called Poljak and then Chudjak, was consolidated on the imageboard Bunkerchan in late August 2020. The name draws on 'chud' — slang tied to far-right posters since roughly 2019, popularly linked to the 1984 horror film C.H.U.D. ('Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers'). It sits alongside Wojak, Soyjak and Gigachad as one node in the broader Wojak universe rather than a standalone invention.
Spread
The character exploded after an October 2020 'raid' war between 4chan's /pol/ and Bunkerchan users that reportedly generated over 80,000 mentions and spawned countless edits. It became a staple of the soyjak.party imageboard (launched September 2020) and the Soybooru archive, where Chudjak is the single most-posted variant, and leaked into mainstream social media as a reaction image for calling someone a mad, terminally-online 'chud.' Endless remixes — different hats, expressions, and crossovers with other Wojaks — kept it in constant rotation across Twitter/X, Reddit, and Discord.
Legacy
Chudjak is now one of the most durable and instantly legible faces in the Wojak canon, and 'chud' has escaped the imageboards to function as everyday internet insult and self-deprecating identity. Like Gigachad, Apu, and Soyjak, it has become a modular building block for reaction memes and, inevitably, a memecoin mascot as the Wojak family migrated onto Solana.
