Because it is a Wormhole wrapper, its supply on Solana reflects bridged tokens rather than a native mint, and price tracks the Ethereum original. Daily volume is modest. The joke writes itself and has been written many times: a token named after people who mindlessly follow the crowd, bought by people following the crowd. To the project's credit it has never pretended otherwise, and it has outlasted most of the 2024 Wojak-derivative cohort. Official status: Wormhole-bridged version of the Ethereum-native Non-Playable Coin. It is the official project's Solana representation rather than a separate Solana launch, which is why is_og is false here: the original contract lives on Ethereum. A separate, unaffiliated Solana-native token called NPC Solana (NPCS) also exists and is not the same thing. Why this meme: Non-Playable Coin is the token built directly on the NPC Wojak meme, the grey featureless Wojak used to accuse people of having no independent thought.
