The mint is dated 15:34:11 UTC on 3 July 2023 by wallet 83yrwvqCLnCn8RFSzRQStmujprDAVHL8tBWy8FhBm5Qu, six months before pump.fun existed, with a fixed on chain supply of 420,660,426,625.7 at one decimal place, echoing Ethereum PEPE's 420,690 billion. The token traded nowhere for almost a year: its oldest pool opened at 15:46:06 UTC on 15 June 2024. It is run by the WallStreetBets Facebook community founded by Christopher Berrios, over 560,000 members as reported in May 2025, following a community takeover during 2024. Marked unofficial because nobody connected to Pepe the Frog is involved, and because the contract's own on chain description claims it is the "First Pepe created on Solana," which is contradicted by a Solana token named Pepe at F9CpWoyeBJfoRB8f2pBe2ZNPbPsEE76mWZWme3StsvHK trading since 21 January 2023. It is the original Purple Pepe, not the original Solana Pepe.
