A bipedal humanoid accelerates down the straight with a stride good enough to be genuinely impressive, reaches the end, does not decelerate, and drives itself into a metal electrical housing box. It loses balance, goes down, and in some angles throws sparks. The clip spread from a post by Eren Chen at 17:59 UTC on 17 August 2026 captioned "Robot breaking the human speed record and BREAKING an electrical box at the same time," which is where the meme and later the ticker got their name. The context that makes it funny rather than sad is that Unitree had been publicising a prototype called Superman that the company claims runs at 12.66 metres per second, faster than the 12.2 metres per second Usain Bolt hit inside his 9.58 second world record in Berlin in 2009. The machine beat the human at running and lost to a box. Three days later somebody minted it.

Brett is a blue humanoid character from Matt Furie's 2000s comic 'Boy's Club,' the same universe that gave the internet Pepe the Frog. On Base he was revived as the chain's flagship memecoin.

Brötchen is a pygmy hippo calf born at Zoo Berlin on 9 May 2026 and named after the German breakfast roll, because naming zoo animals after food has become a permanent condition of the internet rather than a passing joke. She is the second pygmy hippo in two years to be turned into a global mood board, after Moo Deng, and the first whose name reveal was tradeable on Solana 92 seconds after it was posted.

Burnie Senders is a cartoon communist invented on a launchpad. The character is a Soviet sleeper agent drawn to look like Senator Bernie Sanders, who defends free everything and taxing the rich in confident broken English and then accidentally explains, sentence by sentence, why the plan always ends in empty shelves and a queue. The whole product is reverse psychology: every policy briefing the project publishes is an argument against itself, filed under headings like the central committee, seizing the means of production, and gulags for fudders. The contract was minted on pump.fun at 17:30:59 UTC on 1 April 2026 and was worth almost nothing for two days. On 3 April its first real pool opened at 03:08:37 UTC, X spun up a trending topic at 05:49 UTC about Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko boosting it with Bernie satire, and the token closed that day up roughly a hundredfold on 6.4 million dollars of volume. BingX listed a perpetual on 7 April, BitMart listed the spot pair on 29 April, and the market capitalisation peaked near 25 million dollars on 8 May. It is a PolitiFi coin whose politician is fictional, which is the only reason anybody can write about it without a lawyer.

A memecoin phenomenon built on one true detail: before it was Robinhood, the trading app was almost named CashCat, complete with a cartoon cat clutching a wad of cash. When Robinhood shipped its own blockchain in 2026, traders resurrected the abandoned name as the network's first breakout token.

She lives at Rusty's Angels Sanctuary, a senior and special needs dog rescue in New River, Arizona, run by her owner Emilee Spear. Cricket first went viral in 2021 after the pet site iHeartDogs featured her, and she has kept a steady following ever since through a daily Instagram account and appearances at sanctuary adoption events. In July 2026 she picked up a second life online when a Solana token named after her routed its creator fees back to the sanctuary through pump.fun's Charity Coins system, then immediately attracted a swarm of copycat contracts trading on her name.

The Dancing Alligator is a nine minute greenscreen clip of a cartoon reptile shuffling in place, uploaded to YouTube in December 2020 by a channel that made greenscreen assets and nothing else. It sat there for years collecting a few thousand views, which is roughly the correct amount of attention for a nine minute looping alligator. Then TikTok found it twice. The first time, in July 2024, English speaking editors turned it into the You're not a dancing alligator CapCut template. The second time, in July 2026, Brazil got hold of it, renamed it rela no jacaré, and made it a national reflex. The Solana version arrived on 18 July 2026, ran quietly for nine days, and then on 27 July roughly ten separate contracts using the same name appeared inside a few hours, most of them with a single pool, no socials and a half billion dollar market cap that does not survive contact with a second data source.

Degen grew out of the Farcaster social network, where a community tipping token turned the old crypto slang for a risk-loving trader into a full movement on Base.

On 6 August 2026 at 01:37 UTC, Texas congressman Dan Crenshaw ended a viral argument about a twenty dollar burrito by telling everyone to stop whining, get a job and eat Ramen like the rest of us did in college. He said in the same post that he was doing it to make the losers on social media angry before going to bed. It worked, mostly on his own side. Within a day the line was shorthand for the whole Republican affordability fight, X had bolted a community note onto it, and the following morning a Solana token called Ramen Plan appeared with a cup of instant noodles in a business tie as its mascot.

Floki is a dog meme named after Elon Musk's Shiba Inu, which inspired a community token and a sprawling ecosystem across BNB Chain and other networks.

Franklin is a Canadian children's book turtle, forty years old, whose entire personality is being gentle about small problems. On 30 November 2025 the US Secretary of War posted an AI-generated Franklin book cover in which the turtle fires a bazooka out of a helicopter at boats, captioned for your Christmas wish list. What followed was a two-sided image war conducted entirely in fake picture book covers, a statement from the publisher, and a Solana contract minted the next morning that briefly ran to a reported eight figures before collapsing back to the size of a used car.

Free Joby is a crypto-native rallying cry turned Solana memecoin, built around Joby Weeks, an early Bitcoin evangelist from Colorado who has spent more than six years on home confinement awaiting sentencing in the BitClub Network case. The token carries the #FreeJoby advocacy movement onto the chain he helped popularize.

Rockstar spent a decade and a reported fortune building the most anticipated video game of the century, and the thing a chunk of the internet fixated on was a tabby sitting on top of an ATM in a liquor store, washing itself while a protagonist buys beer. The bodega cat is background dressing. It has no name in any Rockstar material, no dialogue, no mission, and it occupies a couple of seconds of footage. It became a fan mascot anyway, because that is what happens when several hundred million people freeze frame the same trailer for a year looking for something nobody else has noticed yet. By August 2026 the cat had a fan site, a lore page inventing a whole personality for it, and a token.

Higher is an optimistic mindset meme from the Farcaster and Base community, built around one upward-pointing idea: keep pushing toward something better.

Hyperskids is a Solana charity memecoin built around a viral troupe of child dancers from Kampala, Uganda, promising to convert speculative trading into food, school fees and housing for the kids. Despite the Hyper prefix it is not a Hyperliquid project, the name refers to the HypersKids Africa dance group.

“Jeo Boden's poll numbers were tied to a candlestick chart.”

Jimothy is a wild raccoon from the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle who became a global internet celebrity in July 2026. His fame comes from his cartoonish silhouette: a short, compressed torso, a nearly invisible neck, and a permanently hunched posture caused by short spine syndrome, a rare condition in which the vertebrae fuse or fail to fully develop. Local resident Kiana Hall filmed him near the Ballard Goodwill and posted the clip, naming him Jimothy because, in her words, he simply looked like a Jimothy. The footage exploded across Instagram, TikTok, X, and Reddit, turning an ordinary alley raccoon into an animal celebrity of the summer.

Jotchua is a golden retriever puppy from an adoption post in Monterrey, Mexico who was renamed by the internet three separate times and then tokenised four separate times, none of which he consented to. Spanish-speaking shitposters found the photo in late 2020 or early 2021, called him Perro Dinero, and attached a superstition to him: set the picture as your profile picture and money arrives. On 24 January 2021 the Instagram account @_kingorange put the word JOTCHUA under the same face and that spelling stuck to the English-speaking web. His real name, printed in the listing next to a black littermate called Abel, was Cain. Both puppies were adopted the day the photos went up, so the internet has spent five years praying to a dog it never met and getting the name wrong on purpose. The market caught up in December 2023 with an Ethereum contract, then a Solana one in January 2025, then the one that actually worked in June 2026, and then on 20 August 2026 somebody launched a separate token off the real name.

On 24 June 2026 the marketing revealed a poster with the tagline Rise Of A King. Twelve seconds later a Solana token called Kiongozi | Rise Of A King existed. The lion has not been informed.

Kori is a real Pomeranian in a pink harness who holds one of the strangest records on the internet: her most watched TikTok is technically an advertisement. Posted on 26 April 2025, the clip shows her skateboarding while the mobile puzzle game Block Blast plays, and it cleared a billion views in roughly a month. By the time trade press caught up in early June 2025 it was the most watched TikTok video of the year, about 340 million views ahead of whatever was in second place. Crypto did what crypto does. A token called Kori The Pom went live on letsBONK.fun on 13 May 2025, ran to roughly 58 million dollars of market capitalisation inside two months, and has spent the year since being the rare dog coin whose dog is genuinely more famous than the coin.

LMAO, short for "laughing my ass off," is one of the oldest and most widely used pieces of internet slang, a text-based way of signaling that something is genuinely hilarious. In October 2025 the acronym was minted as a Solana memecoin, $LMAO, turning decades of typed laughter into a community token.

The captions are written in her voice, in deliberate typo-ridden all-caps, which is most of the joke. In August 2026 the trenches noticed her, and inside 48 hours roughly twenty contracts across four chains were named after the same cat, several of them using invisible characters and reversed text to imitate the one with a market.

Fans adore him precisely because he behaves like an oblivious, road-blocking menace.

In January 2026 the head of product at X told Crypto Twitter that its collapsing reach was self-inflicted, then deleted several of the posts explaining why. Crypto Twitter answered the way it always does: it renamed him. Nikita Bier became Nikita Boar, the nickname trended the same day, and a token was minted before the argument had even finished. Three months later his friends had a live boar delivered to his office to celebrate a million followers, which turned a revenge insult into a matter of public record, and the coin named after that insult printed its all-time high two days after the animal arrived.

Niu Lai is a Chinese animated film so crudely made that the internet decided it was art, and then decided it was money. It opened on 5 August 2026 and took 7,169 yuan in its first nine days, which is a few dozen tickets for an entire country. Then Chinese social media found it. The stiff models, the sliding walk cycles and a calf bellowing for its mother were analysed frame by frame with the solemnity normally reserved for restorations of lost classics, cinemas that had been sent no press kit started hand drawing their own posters, and people bought tickets specifically to be inside the joke. The gross went from four figures to more than 17 million yuan. On 14 August 2026 a BNB Chain token called 牛来 appeared, ran more than 150 times in a day, and peaked near 48 million dollars of market value on 17 August, the day after the film's own home city pulled it from screens for making the place look bad.

A pixel-art cat with a Pop-Tart body trailing a rainbow as it loops endlessly across a starry sky, scored to a chirpy Japanese pop hook. It is one of the internet's most iconic early-2010s memes.

OIIA OIIA is a grey cat rotating on its own axis at a speed no living cat has ever achieved, set to a nonsense vocal loop that sounds like a synthesiser trying to pronounce a vowel. It is the purest form of internet content: no joke, no punchline, no message, just a cat spinning until you feel something. It became a Solana memecoin in September 2024 and, unusually for the category, is still spinning.

Pablo Pledgescobar is a nickname a prediction market invented for a defendant, and it outran the criminal case within a day. On 17 August 2026 Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that a statewide investigating grand jury had recommended charges against fourteen people, thirteen of them current or former Penn State students, over cocaine trafficking run out of two off-campus fraternity houses. The detail that broke containment was the alleged initiation: prosecutors said pledges were made to cut and package cocaine as part of joining. Polymarket then posted about the alleged ringleader turning himself in and called him Pablo Pledgescobar. The post cleared 38,000 likes, every aggregator in the country reprinted the name as though it had come from the presentment, and a Solana token carrying the nickname was minted eight seconds after the post went up, using the post's own image as its logo. Every allegation here is untested. Nobody in this case has been convicted of anything, and the joke is not waiting for a verdict.

'Pibble' is affectionate internet slang for a pit-bull-type dog, and in 2026 it became a full-blown viral format via the pibblefluencer TikTok account, whose AI-assisted dancing-pibble clips built a huge following around cheerful catchphrases like 'wash ma belly.'

Piper is a pygmy hippo calf born at Edinburgh Zoo on 31 July 2026, weighing just under 5.5 kilos and making a noise her keepers compared to a bagpipe, which is how she got the name. She is Gloria's daughter, which makes her the little sister of Haggis, the 2024 calf who became Scotland's answer to Moo Deng. Her name was announced on the morning of 7 August 2026. The first Solana contract carrying it was minted at 08:49:14 UTC that day, and a second one arrived one second later.

Rage Guy is the screaming 'FFFFFUUUU' face that kicked off the entire rage comics format. Born from a crude 2008 four panel MS Paint comic on 4chan, it became one of the defining fill in the blank meme templates of the early internet, and in 2025 it was tokenized as the RAGEGUY memecoin on Solana.

“The most self-aware community on Solana, entirely on purpose.”

Return to Memes is what crypto says to itself after it gets caught being serious. The phrase was posted as three lowercase words by the trader kmoney at 21:48 UTC on 16 February 2025, two days after the LIBRA token promoted by Argentina's president collapsed and took roughly 251 million dollars of retail money with it. Thirty seconds after the post, someone minted a token off the screenshot. Ninety six seconds after the post, someone else minted a second one. The first mint, 3d1qHSAkQhoN7kN1C6tvpAArCkXWxwYdBng6taXCDM6u, then did nothing at all for seven months, bonded in September 2025, sank to a twenty six thousand dollar chart in June 2026 and ran roughly 174 times off that low in nine days to a peak near 4.8 million dollars on 4 July 2026. The slogan is a plea for a simpler market, and the market answered it in the most literal way available, by turning the plea itself into a ticker and then cloning it eight more times.

Two panels. A small grey figure reaches for a yellow balloon. A pink figure grabs him by the waist and hauls him back. That is the entire mechanism, and it has been used a few million times to explain why anyone fails to get anything they want. The original labels were opportunities on the balloon and shyness on the pink one, which is a much sadder comic than the meme it became. Nine years later its author, a Filipino cartoonist named Elmer Saflor, is in a Los Angeles federal court over it, and a Solana token appeared two days after he filed.

A rescue cat from a Los Angeles County shelter, photographed in a hand crocheted grey shark hood, reposted until the picture stopped belonging to anybody. Nala is a real animal with a real owner, a Guinness World Record and a talent agency. The shark hat was merchandise sold from her own store. In March 2024 the picture walked off on its own, became a Solana token nobody had asked permission for, touched a 390 million dollar market capitalisation, and ended up settled by contract instead of in court.

The Shiba Inu, a small spirited Japanese dog breed, became one of the internet's most recognizable animal memes and the template for a whole class of 'dog coins' led by SHIB on Ethereum.

She was nearly euthanised as a puppy for being the wrong shape, was adopted instead in 2019, and had already spent five years as a mid-sized pet account before the internet decided in July 2026 that short spine animals were the thing. Her first contract was minted in May 2024 and sat unbonded for fourteen months waiting for a wave nobody knew was coming.

Toshi is a cat that became the unofficial mascot of Coinbase's Base network, tracing back to the real pet of Coinbase co-founder Brian Armstrong.

"Touch grass" is an online insult telling someone who is too deep in internet arguments or gaming to log off and go experience the physical world. The literal image of putting your hand on real grass became shorthand for 'get some perspective, you are terminally online.'

A Solana memecoin built on the original Trollface, the problem rage-comic troll drawn in 2008, that went further than most meme tokens by licensing the actual artwork from its creator.

"Trust me, bro" is the internet's shorthand for a claim with zero evidence behind it. Deployed as a mock citation ('source: trust me bro'), it lets someone assert anything and then wave away the demand for proof. It became the default punchline for confident nonsense, and nowhere does it land harder than in crypto, where 'trust me bro' is the entire due-diligence package for a rug.

Tsunami is a Venezuelan search-and-rescue border collie who became a national symbol of hope in late June 2026 after helping locate survivors buried in the rubble of a catastrophic double earthquake. Once an abused, abandoned street puppy, he grew into one of Latin America's most decorated rescue dogs, and his story spread rapidly across Spanish- and English-language media.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur, nicknamed 'Triple T,' is a 2025 'Italian brainrot' character: an anthropomorphic wooden slit-drum (kentongan) that stars in absurdist AI-generated videos and became one of the breakout memes of the brainrot wave.

Udin Din Din Dun (full chant: "U din din din din dun, ma din din din dun") is a brainrot character rendered as a jacked, anthropomorphic orange — glowing green eyes, a leaf sprig on top, and oversized Air Jordans. The name is pure rhythmic nonsense built to be chanted, which is exactly what made it stick.

A memecoin born from a gold-and-silver commentator's insult, he dismissed Bitcoin as unicorn fart dust, which he then minted into a real token to test the absurd power of memes, growing a devoted community that calls itself Dusters.

Unstable Coin is the joke that a stablecoin is a promise nobody can keep, so you may as well sell the opposite. USDUC is a token whose entire product is that it does not hold a peg, marketed at people who want the thrill rather than the safety, and its launch note said the quiet part out loud: buy it before bed and find out in the morning whether you are a millionaire or a hobo. It was minted on pump.fun on 18 May 2025, abandoned by its creator inside a week, adopted twice by strangers, bridged to four more chains, listed on Kraken, and it is still trading. It is one of the few memecoins where the premise, the collapse and the survival are all the same bit.

Yepcat is the thumbs-up 'yep' reaction cat: a relaxed cat throwing a casual thumbs-up, used online as an emphatic way to say 'yep.' It became especially recognizable as the sticker TikTok auto-suggests first whenever someone types an affirmative like 'yep,' 'yes,' 'yeah' or 'mhm.'
